On November 28th, 2015 the installation of PV panels on the roof and southern facade of EPK building has been completed and the system started working.

The PV development - a solution of facade modernization and thermal insulation - was the part of EPK building renovation. The undertaking enabled us to optimize the scope of renovation and the costs, both investment and operation (reduction of energy costs). Photovoltaics is one of the most innovative and eco-friendly technologies: it is zero-emission and does not produce any noise. Implementation of PV contributes to the reduction of CO2 emissions - in EPK specific case of 100 kW the reductions amounts to 60 Mg of CO2 per year.

One of keys to this success was the grant obtained from WFOŚiGW Katowice.
