On May 17-20, 2016, Szklarska Poręba held the X Jubilee Conference on Science and Technology - Construction Industry in the Energy Sector.

The conference is dedicated to broadly defined construction problems in the energy sector. Sessions create a special opportunity to exchange experiences and opinions and allow to present the latest achievements in the field of conctruction in the energy sector.

The conference was attended by six employees of EPK who gave four different papers. On the second day, during Session I on Current Problems of Construction Industry in the Energy Sector, Janusz Depta, Mateusz Rozlach and Konrad Rodacki gave a paper entitled „The Design and Construction of Reinforced Concrete Communication Pylons on the Example of a New Power Unit.” Then, Arkadiusz Knora presented his paper on „Foundation of a Main Building in a New Power Unit Taking Into Account the Specific Conditions of the Ground.” At the end of the session, Jacek Wójcik told about „Logistics of Design, Prefabrication, Supply and Assebly of the Boiler House Steel Construction in a 1000MW Power Unit.” On the same day, during Session IV on Industrial Chimneys, Dominik Ostrowski delivered his speech on „Mounting of a PV system on Existing Buildings on the Example of Energorpojekt-Katowice SA.”
