Pierwsze polsko-koreańskie forum energetyki jądrowej

On 20th September, the first Polish-Korean nuclear energy forum organized by the Ministry of Energy together with the Embassy of South Korea took place in Warsaw. Forum gives an opportunity to get to know companies and organizations related to nuclear energy in both countries and to conduct an interactive dialogue on business cooperation on the global market.


Representatives of Korean firms declare their willingness to participate actively in the Polish nuclear program. Łukasz Grela, Michał Woźniczka, Olgierd Sikora, Janusz Kurpas and Rafał Szubert participated in the Forum. "In implementing the nuclear project, Polish government from the very beginning attaches importance to the greatest possible involvement of domestic industry, starting from the design stage, through the construction stage itself, its utilization and servicing .The highest requirements and standards in the nuclear sector will positively affect the development of the energy sector in Poland "- said during the opening of the Forum Deputy Director of the Department of Nuclear Energy of the Ministry of Energy, Zbigniew Kubacki.

As it was emphasized during the opening of the Forum by the ambassador of South Korea in Poland, Sung-Joo Choi, "As a strategic partner of Poland, the Republic of Korea is ready to participate in the project of  Polish nuclear power plant based on the principal of mutual benefits". The ambassador reminded that according to the declaration on strategic partnership from 2013 Poland and South Korea are obliged to jointly search for significant areas of mutually beneficial cooperation.
The Forum was attended by nearly 200 representatives of the energy sector from both countries with experience and competences in the implementation of projects in the nuclear industry: producers of components for energy, design offices, assemblers, chambers of commerce, universities and research centres as well as government agencies.
