On 17—19 September 2013 in Bielsko-Biala, the International Trade Fair for Energy ENERGETAB 2013 was held, which presented 740 exhibitors from 18 countries in Europe and Asia. The Fair was visited by 21 thousand people. Our office had a booth together with the Commercial Chamber of Energy and Environmental Protection.
The largest fair in the industry in Central Europe has gathered exhibitors who were presenting their latest machinery, equipment, devices, technologies and services to enhance the reliability of the electricity transmission and increase the efficiency of its design, manufacture and use.
The range of devices and equipment presented was very broad: transformer stations, switchgear, circuit breakers, transformers, generators and drives, renewable energy sources, lighting poles and fixtures, equipment and systems for measurement, automation, transmission and processing of information, wires and cables, UPS devices, specialized vehicles for power industry and many other products and services.
Out of the 54 innovative products entered in the fair contest for outstanding product, the selection board awarded the trophy of the Minister of Economy to energy-efficient distribution transformers manufactured with amorphous coreproduced in Poland by ABB.
The fair was accompanied by conferences and seminars, and many less formal meetings of exhibitors with their contractors, including numerous representatives of the largest power industry construction investors and contractors.
And thus, in the course of conference Electricity production from RES and Energy Quality Management Systemsorganized by the Polish Association of Wiring Installations, current issues were presented arising from the long process of the formation of the RES Act and the conditions of transition to a low carbon economy and the challenges which will face Polish economy down this road - even marked increase in materials productivity and power efficiency.
The ENERGETAB fair is an excellent source of practical information for students and vocational school students, and thus often young people could be found at the fair, listening with curiosity to the presentations at the stands or hiding in their backpacks brochures, catalogues and trade journals available in many places.
The Energetab fairs are known for informal evening meetings and banquets at hotels and restaurants in Bielsko-Biala, Szczyrk, Wisła and Ustroń. Organized by exhibitors. This time there were many such occasions as well, since some exhibitors organized meetings to celebrate jubilees. Traditionally, on the second day of the fair in the afternoon there was an integration meeting of SEP organized by the Bielsko-Biała Branch of SEP, which was attended by electricians from other branches, including Szczecin, Białystok, Warsaw.
